Jessie goes to the vet

Hi Everyone
Yesterday I took Jessie to the vet because she has a scabby growth under her chin.
I thought it was probably a cyst.
The vet said there were 3 possibilities - 1) it is just an infection and will clear up with anti biotics and anti inflammatories. She gave me both of these to give to Jessie. 2) It is a cyst and 3) it is cancer.
I am very worried about possibility 3. So worried that I took valium yesterday so I could sleep off my emotions.
I have only had Jessie for a few months and she has fast become my best friend. The thought of losing her cuts deep.
Please pray for me an Jessie about this - that Jessie will recover and that I can deal with my emotions a bit better.
God Bless
Amber

  1. Amber, I am so very sorry for your latest concern about your precious Jessie. What a cutie-pie. I can only pray that she gets healed. How long do you have to wait for the results of the meds to take effect with Jessie!

I know dear one that you are under a lot of duress. You too will be in my prayers for God's comfort to be on you during this time.
Blessings dear one and keep us posted!

  4. Hi Amber -

I think I have very good news for you. Now, remember, I am not a vet, but my best friend is a 'cat person'. She goes so far as to give one of her cats insulin shots twice a day. The same thing you are describing happened to her mom's cat and their vet said it was caused by drinking out of plastic water bowls. Some cats just can't tolerate the plastic. They changed the bowl to metal and voila, no more skin issues. I hope that at least eases you worries.

    I really hope it's nothing.

Please pray for my anxiety and depression levels as I wait to see what the result is.

I'm not very good at waiting...

    God Bless

  7. Dear one, how was your day today? Waiting is not fun at all. I know. I pray Easter comes quickly for you so you can be set at ease with the results. Thinking and praying for you.

  8. Hello :) Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. I am so sorry to hear how you can relate to me bc that is something I personally wish nobody ever had to deal with. However, it is good to see your wonderful blog and see how far you have come. I am so sorry about your cat and I hope God can show his hand in your life right now. I often have little trust for people as well and sometimes my faith in God slips but, ultimately He always finds a way to bring me back. I hope He can do the same for you in your times of need and for the rest of your life.

I hope you soon feel better and I will be praying for you and your dearest cat.

  9. Thanks guys

    Today was a little better.

I went to see a Chinese version of King Lear (will post about that tomorrow) and that took my mind of things a bit.

    Thanks for your prayers.

    God Bless

  14. Amber:

My Magdalena has had it off and on.

My vet calls it "feline acne" and it can be affected by the kind of bowl used. If it's metal, change to ceramic, if plastic, change to metal, etc.,etc., etc.

  15. I hope that's all it is. She has a ceramic bowl.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.
